IEI by Serge Shaneri

(machinetranslated)

Ego block

It's the most important aspect of Subject’s personality.
This is a block of the thinking program.
Ego block is formed by the first two functions: Leading Function (its ideas contain a result of Ego block) and Communicative Function (a tool to implement Leading Function ideas).

The main things for IEI are freedom and emotions.
They use emotions to create a sense of perspective, an image of future freedom. A more practical option is also possible: a game of emotions that frees you from unnecessary obligations (creating freedom).

Leading function

Leading function creates an image of the world.
It contains the major potential of a type.
Each type imagines and understands the world in accordance with the topic of this function.
More often a Subject comes up with ideas on the topic of this function.
(Topic of each function will be specified in braces)

(Ni - Introverted Intuition - time, meaning, perspective, routine)

IEI has an attitude to freedom, to the possibility of manifesting inner understanding and establishing an independent mode of emotional manifestation. IEI models the world in terms of meaning, mode, internal state, inspiration. (Ni)

This can be expressed in different words: IEI represents the world as a history, a sequence of events. Represents objects as a prospect of their manifestation in time.

Freedom to express emotions is what they are most predisposed to. Also IEIs doubt a lot, and it may be difficult for them to decide something concrete. Freedom setting also does not allow IEIs to be too strong-willed, that is, they respect the freedom of others too much to force anyone to do anything (although the situation can change this).

In general IEIs are quite deep in nature, they are able to see deep meaning in everything and be inspired by it.

They consider experience very important component of life, something to rely on and treat it with respect. They like to indulge in memories. For example visiting cafe, they will say: "Remember, we were here many years ago...". On the other hand seeing the potential, IEIs evaluate the time when it would be implemented.

IEIs often think about trends and where situation is headed. They like to foresee various troubles and avoid them.

Creative function

A Subject is guided in the world by their creative function. Its topic is what they think and talk about.
This function executes a type's program.
It's very flexible and easily triggered. Its topic is usually discussed with delight.

(Fe - Extroverted ethics - emotions, state)

IEI’s speech is brightly colored with emotions. Their emotionality is an instrument to interact with the world. IEIs know how to inspire and create an atmosphere brilliantly. They are able to show emotions fit (?) for their purposes. They can behave quite dramatically, manifesting both their "depth" and emotionality. Meditation on emotions and states is common for them. Analyzing emotions, they are able to understand person’s inner state. Emotions are used to create a sense of perspective and inspiration.

Super-ego block

Super-ego serves for socialization.
It contains weak functions which a Subject needs to develop.

IEIs feels the need (duty?) to work for retaining a standard of living. On the other hand, too much attention to the labor could be unbearable and cause protest.

Role function

This topic causes Subject's stress. A Subject mobilizes whenever they have to interact with the topic of Role function.
(Si - Introverted Sensing - balance, harmony, comfort, compatibility, quality)

IEI´s will is manifested through common, mode of life activities, that is, they can tense up and take care of everything, or for example create beauty, coziness, comfort. This very aspect applies if they want to somehow adapt to the situation. On first acquaintance, they express themselves pleasant and/or stylish. IEIs are thrifty and can rely on accumulated resources in case of a tense scenario.

Vulnerable function

The most important topic. If a Subject is not good at this, they won't feel good at all. Each person has their own upbringing in this function. It's important if a person's behavior on this topic corresponds to the idea of what is right or wrong which they and their inner circle have.

(Te - Extroverted Logic - technology, activity, efficiency, methods)

IEI does not endure criticism of their work easily. It can cause protesting and showing bad attitude or conscience feelings. Their activity is the heart of the psyche, the most important part. Do not instruct them on how to do things as it is considered an invasion of the most personal. It can be difficult to think about the effectiveness of actions in advance. Also, they may not exactly follow the instructions, as they are too inert in understanding the methods. This does not mean that they will always do poorly, rather they will do as they were brought up.

Super-Id block

Super-Id is a child-like block according to which a person demands or expects something from the world.
This block estimates if TIM's environment is acceptable enough.
This is a block of rational egoism, anti-conscience.

IEIs assesses people in terms of their strong-willed and intellectual traits. Needs strong-willed support, especially in matters of social hierarchy. Also needs a flexible (soft) form of management.

Suggestive function

The most pleasant topic. А subject subconsciously expects information on the topic of Suggestive function. It's not easy for a person to pay much attention to it by themselves. It feels nice when someone helps with it.

(Se - Extroverted Sensing - load, adaptation, volitional interaction)

IEI has an aspect which defines topic of will power, realization and load in this position. It means that information about the manifestation of will, achievement of goals and goal-setting is valuable for IEI, especially concerning the social hierarchy (see SUPERID). If necessary, IEI uses verbal aggression. Tends to imagine illusions and ignore apparent facts.

Activating function

It's the energy system of Psyche. Information on the topic of Activating function gets an emotional response in the subject's consciousness. Constant support on the topic powers up a Subject. A Subject gets de-energized if conditions on this topic are unsatisfactory.

(Ti - Introverted logic - structure, causes, space)

IEIs needs support with information about the structures, he constantly asks "why?". There are high demands of the logic of others. IEIs are easily motivated with an explanation of why they need to do something. With constant logical support they feel energetically fit. They treat ideas of self-affirmation within the social hierarchy with enthusiasm.

Id Block

Id block is an implementing mental block through which the Subject helps others, provides time, work and product of their activity to society.

Focused on distributing their ideas, which are aimed at establishing relationships or priorities. At a high cultural level, tries to raise the level of morality. Able to establish relationships and does it in case other people need.

Ignoring function
The most unconscious topic.
Positive information on this topic puts SEI into a creative mode, inspires them.
This function automatically switches on if others need help on its topic.
(Ne - Extroverted Intuition - potential, idea, possibilities)

IEI is immersed in the flow of opportunities and ideas that they use to establish relationships. It also means that if IEI has ideas full of potential, they are inspired and put into working mode. (??Governing??) essence of this function also applies when IEI does not see the opportunity and perceives it as a given, refusing people exactly because there is no possibility. They easily share their ideas, as if focused on distributing them.

Demonstrative function

The Subject provides their product and work results through this function.
They can perform the work by themselves if necessary or give specific methodical advice that will lead to a productive result.

(Fi - Introverted Ethics - relationships, priority, subjective distance)

The work of IEI lies in relationships which they influence. If they feel the need to change the relationship (for their own or others' purposes), they do what it takes or give necessary advice. Also IEI may like to teach others morality and morals, thus revealing their moral potential. They understand how the relations inside team are arranged, therefore can stir up an affair if they want.

IEI's dichotomies and small groups characteristics:

Introvert. Their attention is directed to internal (implicit) objects. They do not like to spread themselves and prefer quality rather than quantity. SEI also expresses it in a great attention to harmony and compatibility, which are the internal characteristics of objects.

Careless. The careless always count on the fact that everything can be different than before. It's not as if they don't rely on past experience, they're just not fixated on it.

Farsighted. The careless (not “farsighted”) love everything in a new way, as it never happened before, while the farsighted ones rely on their experience. Thus, experience for them will be to some extent a goal, the achievement of which is already a value, since experience can be relied upon and used. Farsighted people also like to think ahead of everything, so that later there is a plan that you can rely on.

Intuitive. They easily handle general ideas, prefer to generalize and think globally. They often speak vaguely (using common words even in a specific example). They are set to perceive information intuitively, so understanding for them is more important than sensing.

Aristocratic. Initially, aristocrats were defined as those who treat people through the prism of their social status. At present, this feature has been studied in more detail. Aristocrats tend to pay attention to the characteristics of objects that are attributable to belonging to groups. For example, if the bag is made in China, IEI can reason this way: “All bags made in China are of poor quality, therefore this one is also subpar”. These can be called inclusive characteristics. They are included in the properties of the object and all other objects that belong to the group.

Positivist. Positivists pay attention primarily to positive aspects. They also talk about something that present. It may be represented as a lack of attention to downsides of objects or situations.

Yielding. Yielding types keep in view resources that they are ready to invest in a goal when setting it. And if they can't get success achieving this goal, they can easily decide to spend resources on another one, as if they evade needless spendings. Yielding people are more willing to compromise, and they can easily ask to compromise in return.

Ethical type. Ethical types pay more attention to emotions and relationships. They have a better understanding of this (humane) area. They feel confident showing their emotions.

Merry. For Merry types emotions is a more interesting and discussed topic than relationships. And structures are more interesting than methods. This means that they estimate relationships by emotional comfort level and if a person fits this criterion, they befriend them quickly. Mentally being Merry is expressed as a discussion of the world structure or its specific parts. It is important for Merry types to discuss causes and structures, because when you know how things work, you can always decide how to act. Merry types like to come up with new words to denote objects or events. They often have internal (e.g. within a group) terms. “Business before pleasure" usually is not about them.

Emotivist. Some types first pay attention to constructive elements in communication, and others notice emotions in the first place. SEI's feeling is triggered faster than thinking, so first of all they pay attention to emotions while perceiving and sharing information. More often they try to create a positive atmosphere and cheer people up, rather than talk business.

Result type. LIE is focused on results. Coming up with a plan they think on how it should end in the first place. Remembering past events they evaluate them according to results they got.

Asking. Often uses interrogative intonations, likes to complicate the topic of conversation (if it does not contradict its other properties). Easy to interrupt, knows how to listen.

Decisive. For decisive type it is important not to miss a chance, discuss the time of action and decide when to act. For them the moment of action is more important than discussion of options.

Tactics. Honestly, the name is not suitable for this feature at all (but it was chosen by Aushra - the founder of socionics, and there is no better name yet). IEIs are pretty good strategists in the everyday sense of the word. IEIs know how to see the direction in which to move, the vector. And they easily decide what is most helpful right now to achieve this destination (Sensory, which means "now", is in the contact block of model A, so it's easy to turn on)

Irrational type. Their basic information flow is directed inward and that's their main feature - Sensorics. Therefore, their way of looking at things is more flexible, they are open-minded and can change the plan after receiving new information. They may go without planning, expecting the situation to change (same about carelessness).

Dynamic type. Dynamic types think the world is continuous (inextricable, extended), unlike static ones. Dynamism is also represented in a sense of consistency. For example, they will more likely tell a story consistently, in a form of sequential events.

Beta Quadra. IEI belongs to a group of types with "teenage" values. They are also called merry, decisive aristocrats. Their views on how the world and the social hierarchy should be organized are creative. They believe that there is no time to lose and it is necessary to translate your ideas.

Receptive-Adaptive temperament. By a person's emotion SEI can easily understand their inner condition. They are susceptible to people's states and moods.

Sincere (soulful) style of communication. They find cooperation successful if participants exchange information about relationships and priorities, form new values, and settle relationships.
